Seasonal Vitality for Therapists and Bodyworkers: A Solstice Retreat
Join Emily Lake, LPC and Laura Kennedy, herb farmer and co-founder of Rise Up Remedies, as we engage with seasonal living practices to support vitality, decrease burnout and build a deeper connection with the cycles of the natural world. With Winter Solstice as our guide, we will explore the impact this season has on the psyches of both therapists and clients as we live in dynamic response to the world around us.
Learn about seasonally-aligned herbalism practices for nourishment and support as we enter the season of crisp days and long nights, finding warmth and light within as darkness settles around us. Our time together will include a lesson on herbs to work with in winter, discussion that draws on collective insights around our work, and time for reflection. We'll sip on nourishing herbal broth and join together to make fire cider, a traditional herbal remedy for wintertime immune support. At the end of the retreat, you'll go home with a set of strategies for wintertime vitality, recipe cards for continuing your own herbal practice, and a jar of fire cider you've made yourself.
This class is designed to support therapists, bodyworkers and acupuncturists. Ongoing workshops will align around Equinox and Solstice dates throughout the year. Contact emily@emilylake.com for more information.
