An evening with world-renowned Kadampa Buddhist meditation teacher and monk, Gen Kelsang Rigpa
We sometimes set up an all-or-nothing approach to success, feeling we must achieve perfection in order to avoid failure. This is a dangerous mindset, leading to excessive self-criticism and often leaving us feeling discouraged and uninspired. These negative habits of mind block our capacity for authentic progress and spiritual growth. An understanding of Buddhist psychology can shed light on this problem, helping us to reverse this situation. Buddhist wisdom gives us the power and confidence to find freedom from our negative habits of mind. Buddha's teachings give us practical methods for helping us to accept who and where we are, empowering us with tools to help us make progress toward becoming the person we wish to be.

GEN KELSANG RIGPA is an American Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher of the Kadampa Meditation Center in Hollywood, CA.
He is known for his heartfelt and practical teaching which are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. Through his clear presentation of Buddha's teachings, he helps us discover for ourselves how to integrate this timeless wisdom into our modern life.
