Introductory Masterson Method Workshop
Blue Ridge Center for Therapeutic Horsemanship (BRCTH) is hosting a workshop on the basics of the method. It is a unique, interactive method in which you learn to recognize and use the responses of the horse to your touch to find and release accumulated tension in key junctions of the body that most affect performance.
Workshop is open to both EAAT (equine-assisted activities and therapies) personnel as well as horse owners interested in learning how to improve the well-being and performance of their own horses. Attendees will first be introduced to the method during a morning lecture and demonstration and will then have the opportunity to practice simple techniques on BRCTH horses and ponies in the afternoon.
Further training opportunities will be discussed, including training to become a Masterson Method Equine Specialist for EAAT personnel who want to learn additional techniques as well as how to teach the basics to program participants in the therapeutic environment.
Limited to 16 participants, so register early! Rain date is April 29th.
