On Saturday, April 21, the Purple Room presents Lori Donato Celebrates Marvelous Marilyn Maye.

Ms. Donatos performance continues the Purple Rooms ongoing celebration of Ms. Mayes thriving career, which starts on April 6th and 7th when Ms. Maye, herself, joins us to perform the weekend before her 90th birthday. Ms. Donatos unique friendship with Ms. Maye spans five decades, starting at the New Inn Resort in Lake Okoboji, Iowa. Ms. Maye was the headliner and a young, aspiring singer, Ms. Donato, vacationing with her family, was asked to babysit Ms. Mayes daughter. Over the years,

Ms. Maye became Ms. Donatos treasured friend, muse, mentor, and inspiration. Ms. Donato became a successful international performer and teacher, and for the past six years has been the West Coast representative for Ms. Mayes Master Classes.

Ms. Donato will be sharing stories and songs associated with Ms. Mayes illustrious career and will be joined by the Rick Hils trio and another mutual friend of Ms. Mayes, singer Jay Winger.
