"Stairs to the Roof" by Tennessee Williams
Tennessee Williams' "Stairs to the Roof" A Sudden View Production in collaboration with The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theatre Festival, is a rarely produced gem that is at once a comedy, a love story , with a touch of early science fiction.  The plot is influenced by Williams own tenure at the International Shoe Factory, here in St. Louis, MO.  

STORY:
Benjamin Murphy, stages a one-man rebellion against the clock, the monotony of an eight-to-five job and the dehumanizing forces of an increasing mechanized and commercial society.   Ben takes us on a series of fantastic adventures that culminate in an escape from the mundane.. taking us up his stairs to the roof to a better, more Utopian world.  

This production of "Stairs to the Roof," is a St. Louis premier, and the inaugural production for the Boo Cat Club.
