Sidney Museum and Arts Association Port Orchard Historic Home and Garden Tour (with an Art Twist)
We had such a great time that we're having our 2015 Historic Home and Garden Tour (with an Art Twist) on Saturday, July 25.  Check at event http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1163048 for more information.

===========================================================

On Saturday, July 26, the tour will include six to eight historic homes and/or gardens.  Each house will have an artist en plein air as well as one or more art quilts.  On Sunday, visitors will take a self-guided tour through historic businesses in downtown Port Orchard and can also enjoy the annual Mustangs on the Bay car show along the waterfront.

Tickets are $25.00 per person and include both days.
Be sure to get your raffle tickets at the Sidney Art Gallery for a unique, original design, hand-quilted, hand-embroidered, hand-appliqued quilt donated by the Sinclair Quilters.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Log Cabin Museum (the Bartow House), the Sidney Museum and Arts Association welcomes you to a Historic Home and Garden Tour (with an Art Twist) in the City of Port Orchard's downtown residential and business areas.  The area of the homes and businesses are in the original plat and first addition play of the town of Sidney (later renamed Port Orchard).

The original 1886 town plot of Sidney was bounded on the North by Bay Street, on the South by Division Street, on the East by Sidney Avenue and on the West by West Street.  While visiting relatives in this area about 1885, Sidney Stevens of Ohio bought 88 acres on Port Orchard Bay from Robert Campbell, who had received the acreage in a land grant from the United States in 1881.  Stevens returned to Ohio but left his son Frederick here to lay out and plat the town of Sidney.
