When Avraham Sutzkever, called the greatest Yiddish writer of modern times, immigrated to Israel in 1947, he found a deep resistance to the use of Yiddish. But he continued to write and publish poetry of astonishing beauty, wit and vitality. This visually stunning film tells the story of his amazing life in a way that will move and inspire those familiar with or new to his art.
