POSTPONED ~ RHYTHM OF THE SAINTS: THE SONGS OF PAUL SIMON
Paul Simon is one of the most acclaimed songwriters in the history of American music with a career spanning over fifty years. Simons songs gave voice to a generation and continually challenged his audiences artistically and socially. He reaches across cultural divides to collaborate with artists who share his view that music is a powerful path to understanding our shared humanity.

Joe Boucher has spent the past decade creating and performing unique concert experiences based upon the music that influenced him as a songwriter. Piano Men - The Music of Elton Billy, Classic Rock, IMAGINE - The Beatles Solo Years have performed with symphony orchestras to sold out houses around the country. In 2018 he performed Elvis Costellos The Juliet Letters, a song cycle for voice and classical string quartet.

With The Music of Paul Simon, Joe brings together an eight piece band with horns and percussion for a concert spanning Simons expansive career: from Simon and Garfunkel and his 1970s solo work and from his groundbreaking explorations world music, "Graceland and The Rhythm of the Saints" to his current body of superbly crafted songs.

Sneak Peek: here are just a few of Paul Simon's legendary songs that will be performed:

Graceland
Late In The Evening
Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard
You Can Call Me Al
50 Ways to Leave Your Lover
Still Crazy After All These Years
The Boxer

ABOUT DEERTREES THEATRE

In 1936 a stunning opera house was built on the site of an old deer run in the forest above the friendly village of Harrison, Maine, Deertrees Theatre. This summer is our 84th season.

The theatre was the vision of opera singer Enrica Clay-Dillon. It was designed by Harrison G. Wiseman, a famous theatre architect of the day who was instructed to create the most acoustically and technically perfect theatre possible.

Constructed of rose hemlock, in the Adirondack Style, with hand-carved fixtures and near perfect acoustics, the 300 seat theatre was considered as fine as any on Broadway!

Now listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, Deertrees is operated as a non-profit organization and presents a diverse schedule of performances and events, both musical and theatrical, every summer.
