GBE13 The Main Event
The Great Burlesque Exposition is one of the highlights of the burlesque calendar, and the winners of The Main Event, our annual competition, are assured a place amongst burlesque's royalty. Past winners have gone on to headline at The Ohio Burlesque Festival, The Dallas Burlesque Festival, The Toronto Burlesque Festival, and to win the crown at the Burlesque Hall of Fame weekend.
Award's are bestowed by a panel of judges made up of previous winners and our guest judges. The 2020 judges will be announced soon!
In honor of our new home in Salem, MA, we will be bestowing awards in the following categories:
Most Spellbinding
Most Enchanting
Most Bewitching
Most Magical
Most Charming
Prizes can be awarded to solo performers, groups, or duets. Awards are not gendered. We do not, and have never, bestowed a Best Male or Best Female performer award, nor a "Mister" or "Miss" title. ...and others. Not all awards are given every year.
