Oh, No! You want me to give constructive FEEDBACK?!
Led by Anne-Louise Sterry and Eric Foxman

We are often asked to give feedback to other tellers.  We all use different words and different strategies.  Perhaps we just say what comes to mind at the time or, in an effort not to hurt the tellers feelings, we just say something nice.  The teller sometimes might feel their choices have to be defended or explained.  Other times they might not have wanted feedback on that particular subject.  The giver might want to be right.  It is a minefield out there in the feedback world!  But help is on the way.

We will learn how to give and receive feedback that actually is helpful to both the teller and the giver.  We will learn and practice a method that will make it comfortable and useful to those on both sides of the feedback.  We will practice together.  As the giver, you will leave with the ability to use this skill immediately.  As the receiver, you leave with the knowledge that you as the artist controls the feedback process.  This will be an audience participation workshop.

Anne-Louise is an internationally-known motivational speaker and award-winning recording artist, author, singer-songwriter, and master storyteller. Unfailingly positive and empowering, Anne-Louise brings energy and rare authenticity to her endeavors building upon her background degree in psychology, as a psychiatric nurse, and a performing artist.   After playing show-opening music together this past season, during which she coaxed him into shaking his hips, Eric decided to join Anne-Louise in presenting this workshop so he could pay her back for the after-show chiropractic care he required(*).  Come join the fun as they continue working together -- along with you  -- to craft supportive, constructive feedback to improve the tellers' and listeners' experiences.
(*If you believe that, they have a bridge they'd like to sell you!)
