Jammin' Jo presents Comedy and a Couch & Dance
Jennie and Vickie each perform stand up and then they head to the couch where Jennie gets up close and personal with Vickie in an in depth interview a la, "Inside the Actor's Studio." Then the audience gets to ask a few questions.
Vickie Shaw: ** She performs on 3 or 4 Olivia trips a year ** She's had her own one woman show on Logo, ** Was featured in the documentary, "Laughing Matters" ** She's also been on Comedy Central, Bravo, and A&E ** Countless HRC, Pride, and LGBT events.
LONGER VERSION: Vickie Shaw returns to Northern California with her incredibly endearing (she's southern), sharp, don't- mess- with- her (she's southern)-comedy. Vickie doesn't' have to go far from home for material. As a recovering S.o.B. (Southern Baptist) and out lesbian mother of 3 grown children and 3 "perfect" granddaughters as well as her partner, the infamous, "Sgt. Patch," there's enough material to fill a hundred hours! You'll be laughing from start to finish and, by the end of the night, you feel like family. Dysfunctional, perhaps, but family.
Jennie McNulty: ** Recently appeared in the feature length film, "Freelancers Anonymous" ** Has worked for Olivia and Atlantis Cruises ** Has entertained the troops overseas
** Been seen on Logo, NBC, TLC and more The New England Blade named Jennie McNulty, One of the premiere comedians in the country. The Examiner called her an, infectiously energetic, remarkably deft comic with a warm disarming style and some of the best improv skills in the business. And Curve magazine rates her amongst the Top 10 lesbian comics. Her playfully sarcastic style wins over every crowd the moment she takes the stage. With topics ranging from her love of sports (she played women's pro tackle football) to current events to whatever the audience throws at her.
