Parsonsfield is a five-piece Americana band from Northampton, MA, that infuses a rowdy, rock-n-roll spirit into its bluegrass and folk influences, blowing away any preconception of what you think banjos and mandolins should sound like.

From their hand-painted cereal box CD cases to their thoughtful arrangements, Parsonsfield (formerly Poor Old Shine) is about honesty and hand-crafted creativity.

Its foot stomping, mind racing, dirty, downhome Americana. They travel with an assortment of instruments including guitars, banjos, pump organ, mandolin, string bass, musical saw, washboard, and a yard-sale-scrap-metal drum set.

Its old songs with a new feel, banjos with paint peels, shoes with holes and treadless soles, and music that is real. And real good.

100% of all proceeds from ticket sales and merchandise go to the band - we ain't in this for the money....just promoting good music.

This is an outdoor home concert - please respectful to our neighbors, and their property. Address of location will be provided at time of ticket purchase as well as parking directions.

We are located in Kennett Square, PA

Pot-luck to follow, so feel free to bring something to share. BYOB, alcohol is welcome, however, we reserve the right to cut you off if we feel you're too inebriated.
