Iconic American Writers - A Three-Part Series
Please join Literary Affairs and Professor Charles Lynn Batten as we start the new season with a series that will study three of the iconic figures of American literature. Whether or not you have read their work, everyone is familiar with the larger-than-life reputations of Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and Faulkner. This series will examine the similarities and differences in their writing. Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and Faulkner each wrote narrative experiments in modernism, set their novels within the context of American and world history and wrote with acute sensory details. However, they each had a strong voice that made their work not only their own but recognizable.
All of these discussions begin at 10:30am at the hotel Bel Air, and include a delicious continental breakfast. Space is limited get your tickets today!
