Shari Pine:" From Crayons To Perfume: Songs Chicks Are Made Of"
Thank heaven for little girls. Or in this case ... chicks! Very much the lady, Shari Pine thoughtfully delivers songs recollected during her 'color-within-the-lines years', bringing to bear the innocence of youth and the excitement of life experience and knowing, all while daring to 'substitute burnt orange for jungle green'. Pine breathes unique life into songs ranging from Jimmy Webb and Johnny Prine to Stephen Sondheim and champagne soul super group, Fifth Dimension. Featuring Peter Calo (Carly Simon, Jimmy Webb, Hairspray) on guitar.
'Passionate and refined', 'quirky and witty' best describe Shari Pine. She has an extraordinary instrument matched by a unique repertoire. She handles American song, musical theater and the rich flavors of Jazz and Soul like an artist firmly anchored in tradition but having one foot clearly stepping into the future (armed with every crayon in the box.) Additionally, Ms. Pine is a composer/bandleader. She has performed with her group, Righteous Rhythm, in venues across NYC -her original songs hearkening back to the bygone, less-is-more days of Staxx Soul with its deep and steady pockets and mantra-like rhythm sections.
And boy Shari knows how to tell a story: sometimes her lyrics are sweet, sometimes sardonic but never does she sing at you.

Seating at Pangea is communal. Other guests may be seated at the table. There is a $20 per person food and beverage minimum at the tables. Guests may order dinner in the music room once it opens at 9PM
Seating for the show begins at 9PM. Its recommended to arrive no later than 9PM if you intend to order dinner.
