Meet the Author - Richard Dawkins - A BRIEF CANDLE IN THE DARK
On October 10th, at 3pm, in his only appearance in the SE USA this year, Professor Dawkins will be introducing his new autobiography, "A Brief Candle in the Dark". After a short opening statement by Dr. Dawkins, he and Dr. Herb Silverman will then have a discussion on various topics of interest to scientists, humanists, atheists, and anyone with a curiosity about the nature of our world.
VIP Reception at Unitarian Universalist of Clearwater
Come meet Richard Dawkins before the main event at Unitarian Universalist of Clearwater. VIP Tickets include admission to the main event. Each attendee will receive Dawkins's upcoming book A Brief Candle in the Dark. Tickets for for the reception, are available at Dawkins VIP Reception Tickets.
Throughout "A Brief Candle in the Dark", Dawkins shares with us his infectious sense of wonder at the natural world, his enjoyment of the absurdities of human interaction, and his awareness of life's brevity: all of which have made a deep imprint on our culture. The book will be released on September 29th, 2015.
You can get your copy, with the author's autograph through TB CoR at this event. Your ticket will admit you to the event and get you a copy of the book. No book other than the one provided at the event will be autographed.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone, with a refund of the ticket price (excluding the processing fee.)
Free day care will be provided for the general event (not the VIP reception) for children 10 and younger. You do not need to buy a ticket for any children that are going to day care.
Any profit from this event will go to the Tampa Bay Coalition of Reason to fund future events, and the Richard Dawkins Foundation for its work.
There will be no refunds after Oct. 1, 2015. If you have paid and are unable to attend, after the event please send your name and mailing address to TampaBayCor@gmail.com and we will mail the book to you, for the extra cost of mailing. All requests must be received by December 30th, 2015.
