Welcome to Fremont, Center of the Universe!!
Our schedule and times vary according to month. Check the calendar below.
THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST IN OUR PROGRAM. PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR 2015 REGULAR SCHEDULED TOURS WILL BE POSTED BY THE END OF APRIL 2015.
The Fremont Tour, a street theater promotes public art. Our program is a mix of public sculpture and improvisational street theater. As a street theater, our tour guides dress in a costume (The Fremont Fairy Godmother, J-efe the Turksih Rap Singer etc.) and tell the story of our public art in a character. We learn about a Fremont "ART ATTACK", fire the 47' Fremont Rocket and meet the Fremont Troll's Cousin. We playfully involve strangers in the street who have NO IDEA they are going to be a part of our story. Even our tour guides don't know exactly what will happen.
OUR MISSION IS TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO FIND THEIR PLAYFULNESS THROUGH ART AND HISTORY. AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS.
Our entertaining program takes place in the Fremont District of Seattle which is 4 miles north of the downtown core. It is a 10 minute bus drive (#5, 26, 28, 30). The tour is 90 minutes long and we walk about 1/2 mile. We end in the core of Fremont close to local shops and cafes so you can play after the tour.
Our 2014 season is over. We will begin again next June. But we also do special group tours (weddings, business, conventions etc.) throughout the year.
We begin the tour at Solstice Plaza (701 North 34th Street, Seattle, WA 98103). It is family friendly and wheelchair accessible.
