Reading Between the Lines: African-American Autobiography

Reading Between the Lines is the New York Council for the Humanities' adult book discussion program. The Tank will host discussions centered around 4 autobiographies by extraordinary African-Americans. The discussion series is led by Dr. George White, Jr., professor of history at York College.

Participants are expected to commit to all discussion dates:

March 21st, 3:00pm
April 25th, 3:00pm
May 23rd, 3:00pm
June 27th, 3:00pm
July TBA, 3:00pm

Please note: while this is a no-cost program, the Council only provides books on loan for 15 participants. 5 participants will have to commit to buying or borrowing the books on their own.
