Ensemble Pamplemousse presents: Symbiosis
These four pieces describe different processes, each internally reliant for success. Relationships range from those between audience and performer, to the expected (and sometimes broken) sonification of visual cues, to the unveiling of hidden tones emerging from super- and sub-audio frequencies.
This concert premieres four works; Rama Gottfried's work for flute, violin, cello, and electronics; Andrew Greenwald's duo for flute and cello; David Broome's piece for ensemble and interactive audience; and Natacha Diels' composition for missing sounds.
Founded in 2002 as a vehicle for musical exploration, Pamplemousse presents concerts of extraordinary focus and clarity. Virtuosic musicians trained in classical, electronic, and improvisational realms, the group consistently delivers fresh, exhilarating new concepts in sound.
