Brooklyn College Society of Composers
Dedicated to the advancement of contemporary music, the Society engages exciting commission projects in collaboration with energetic and talented young performers. BCSC works with a variety of performance settings and venues in order to expose new audiences to contemporary music well beyond the conservatory, and promotes the preservation of 20th and 21st century contemporary music through educational workshops, performances, and lecture series with high schools. With future plans for adventurous programming featuring innovative, dynamic compositions, the Society seeks to enlighten and entertain newcomers and experts alike by pushing the boundaries of contemporary music.
