During the immediate aftermath of 9/11, Jake and Andrew, drink in their local bar â like everyone else they are numb and lost, and hoping itâs all a bad dream. The next day, Jake meets Sarah in Central Park and they fall in love. A year later, Jake is trying to pick up the pieces. Sarah has left, and the hangover of the last year still lingers. One day his friend Andrew comes up with an idea: itâs time to leave the city. Where to? He doesnât know. This begins Andrew and Jakes road trip to a funeral, Kirkland, Ohio, and Little League baseball where they discover how moments are rare and fleeting, and how talent is a mystery and a gift.
