Based on a play, Adopt a Sailor is the story about all the things we have in common. Philosophy and political affiliation drop away when three people who are very different become human beings to one another. A sailor is inadvertently ÂÂadoptedÂÂ by Patricia and Richard an extremely narcissistic couple during Fleet Week in New York City. The young sailor from Turkey Scratch, Arkansas tells how he fell out of a plane, and listens to the coupleÂÂs conversations and arguments without judgment. Throughout the course of the evening they become human to one another through proximity as the sailor discovers more about the couple than what he would expect, their secrets, habits and revealing idiosyncrasies.
