CLIFF EBERHARDT CD Release, Drew Nelson
Red House recording artist Cliff Eberhardt was a driving force of the New Folk movement in New York, and his songs have been covered by the likes of Richie Havens, Buffy St. Marie, Erasure, Lucy Kaplansky, and the folk supergroup Cry Cry Cry. His acoustic music boils together various influences into a distinctive brew: the country blues of Mississippi John Hurt and Bonnie Raitt, jazz, and the melodies and lyrical twists of pop songwriters like Cole Porter, the Gershwins, and Rodgers & Hart. General admission; $12, $10 advance & members. Tickets at brownpapertickets.com, 800.838.3006, South Haven Art Center, and at the door after 7 pm Doors open at 7 pm.
