| Description |
| OSSCS and George Shangrow have invited Seattle area virtuoso classical guitarist Michael Partington to return to perform with them the Guitar Concerto No. 1 by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco (whose very name is music!). Michael performs to enthusiatic audiences world-wide and last joined OS for the world premiere of "The Underdog," a concerto for classical guitar by Portland composer Bryan Johansen. Murl Allen Sanders has written two Accordion Concerti for Orchestra Seattle. This time he adds music for the Chamber Singers with a special piece for chorus and orchestra called "She Runs Hot and Cold". The complete ballet "The Three-Cornered Hat" by Manuel de Falla completes the concert with spectacular instrumental colors and rhythms -- all performed in the excellent acoustic space that is First Free Methodist Church -- where the parking is always free! |
