Based on deJongs personal experience of Bipolar 2, corporate life, and tragic familial loss, BURST is a devastatingly honest, no-holds-barred exploration meds, madness, modern life, and Generation Me.
Directed by Tanya Taylor Rubinstein, BURST is set against the backdrop of our distracted, multi-tasking, med-happy, pill-popping, instant-gratification culture with skyrocketing diagnoses of depression, ADD, bipolar and other mental illnesses. BURST unabashedly examines how we define whats crazy and whats sane, whats real and whats illusion, and what effect these definitions have on the contemporary mind, psyche, and soul.
Shannon works with local mental & behavioral health associations in each city she performs to give a portion of the proceeds to their cause
