| Description |
Ladino refers to the language spoken by Spanish Jews, expelled from Spain in 1492. Now, 500 years later, their folk songs of love and ritual are gaining a wider audience. Retaining their Spanish and Moorish elements, the subjects of the songs include crimes of passion, murder and seduction. Ronit Widman-Levy sings Ladino Romansa with passion. She has received accolades for her operatic and concert performances throughout the world.
