Merry Wives of Windsor
Falstaff, the scene-stealing rogue from "Henry IV, parts 1 & 2," is one of Shakespeare's greatest comic inventions, and "The Merry Wives of Windsor" (probably the closest Shakespeare ever got to writing an episode of "Three's Company") was supposedly written at the specific request of Queen Elizabeth who wanted to see "Falstaff in love." Traditionally, Shakespeare's plays were performed with an all-male cast. But tradition be damned! We're doing it with an all-male cast because it's funnier that way ... Directed by Tony Pisculli and starring Shawn Thomsen and Chris Riel as the titular "Wives," Jeremy Dowd as Falstaff and Stephen Mead as Ford, with David Albert, Reb Allen, Jerry Altwies, Troy Apostol, Brian Devera, Jim Hesse, Spencer Moon, Ryan Sueoka and Ryan Wuestewald. Featuring original, live music from Damned Spot Drums.
