Shuck and Talk with Karen Rivara

In the back room from 7:30 - 10:00 PM, Jimmy's No. 43 is teaming up with Slow Food NYC, oyster grower Karen Rivara, and the Peconic Land Trust to bring you "Shuck and Talk", a very special evening of local Mystic oysters, wine, beer, and sustainability education.

Karen Rivara is responsible for bringing back the Peconic Pearl oyster to Long Island Sound. She runs the only commercial shellfish hatchery in the Peconic estuary, and will be discussing her role in the preservation of Long Island Sound, and demonstrating how to shuck an oyster!

Tickets are $45 a person and can be purchased at the door, or online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/producer/7784. This ticket price includes one drink, and a selection of oysters.
