SCREEN DOOR is a collective of theatre and film enthusiasts who produce original Live Movies around Chicago. They are the recipients of the 2012 Edes Prize for Emerging Artists.  

Live Movies use a combination of video, theater, and music performance to deconstruct movies into their composite visual and aural parts--action sequences, close-ups, cuts between frames, musical score, voiceover, dialogue, sound effects, etc.--and then put the pieces together before the audience, live. The result is a fun, dynamic moviegoing experience that cannot be replicated on a small screen at home.
