The City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development works with a variety of public, private and non-profit partners to promote a healthy and prosperous future for Portland. We offer services to help residences and businesses conserve energy, reduce waste, improve building practices and support a healthy, sustainable local economy. Our programs included Solid Waste and Recycling, Green Building, Multifamily Energy Assistance, Sustainable Food Policy, Global Warming Policy and Sustainable City Government.
The Office of Sustainable Development's annual events include the ReThink Green Building Education Series in the spring of each year, the Businesses for an Environmentally Sustainable Tomorrow (BEST) Awards in April, and the Build It Green Home Tour and Information Fair in September.
Thank you to ReThink 2007 sponsors: City of Portland Water Bureau, Metro, Energy Trust of Oregon and US Green Building Council, Cascadia Chapter.
