| Centered in beautiful Putney, VT, Yellow Barn Music School & Festival offers an inspiring five-week study and performance experience for young professionals musicians each summer during July and early August. Public concerts, masterclasses, musicological discussions and community outreach events are presented from early July through early August. The preceding 18-day Young Artists Program in June welcomes young instrumentalists and composers ages 13 - 19 and culminates in three exciting public performances. Additional concerts and special events take place year-round. Unusual for its supportive, noncompetitive and challenging learning environment and its imaginative programming, Yellow Barn attracts some of the best up-and-coming young string, piano, woodwind and percussion players in the nation. Together with a world-renowned faculty group, they explore and perform works from the Baroque to the contemporary. |
