Brown Paper Tickets Announces A New Service That Empowers Event Organizers to Sell Tickets Shipped in Greeting Cards to Anyone in the US.
May 2, 2014 (Seattle) Mother's Day gift giving just got easier with Brown Paper Tickets' new Ad Insert Program, empowering event organizers to sell tickets shipped in greeting cards to anyone in the US, or to include messaging or giveaways inside ticket envelopes. Brown Paper Tickets is the first ticketing company to offer this service, giving every event across the country the potential to offer tickets as gifts for Mother's Day, Father's Day, or any holiday or special occasion.
"We've made sending tickets in a Mother's Day card easier than buying flowers, and memories of the show won't end up in the compost bin," said Steve Butcher, CEO of Brown Paper Tickets. "Live events create memorable moments, and that's the perfect gift for any occasion."
The first Mother's Day card offered as part of the program is for a Seattle immersion theater musical called "The Grimaldis." Gift-buyers can ship a Mother's Day card directly to mom that include a ticket to "The Grimaldis," appetizers at the show and a single rose presented to her at the event for $40. Any number of additional tickets can be purchased and enclosed in the same card. The first Mother's Day card with four tickets enclosed was ordered for one lucky mom within minutes of promoting the offering on social media last week.
"A night of entertainment including appetizers, a Mother's Day card, and a rose? It's an amazing deal on a wonderful gift," said Dane Ballard, writer and producer of "The Grimaldis."
Event organizers supply cards and envelopes for Mother's Day, Father's Day or any popular gift-giving holiday, and pay a fee of 25 cents for filling cards with the purchased tickets and shipping the gift package. Brown Paper Tickets' Not-Just-For-Profit service fee for ticket buyers includes free shipping. Ad Insert Program rules plus size and weight limitations apply.
"Our program to sell tickets as gifts is built on the shoulders of our physical ticket delivery service," said Butcher. "Our experience in selling and shipping millions of tickets a year makes us nimble for these kinds of promotions that help to sell out events."
Tickets for "The Grimaldis" should be ordered by Wed., May 7, in order to arrive in time for Mother's Day, May 11. Seattle gift buyers can also pick up the special Mother's Day cards with tickets to "The Grimaldis" at the Brown Paper Tickets box office, 220 Nickerson Street, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
