Brown Paper Tickets "Doer Program" Donates Professional Announcing Services for 2014 Blood & Thunder Roller Derby World Cup in Dallas, Dec. 4-7 at Fair Park Coliseum.

Oct. 2, 2013 (Seattle) In 40 countries around the world, the whistles blow and the crowds cheer as skating rinks and coliseums become the stages and playing fields for the world's fastest growing women's sport, roller derby. The 2014 Roller Derby World Cup will be presented by Blood & Thunder Magazine, a publication dedicated to the sport of roller derby, at Dallas' Fair Park Coliseum, Dec. 4-7, 2014.Brown Paper Tickets' Doer specializing in Roller Derby, Randy "Bob Noxious" Hughes, will be hiring, training, organizing and providing professional analysis, play-by-play announcing and commentary for the event.

Hughes also coordinated announcing for the first Blood & Thunder Roller Derby World Cup, held in Toronto in 2011. He is also the author of the Association of Flat Track Derby Announcer's (AFTDA) official Roller Derby Announcer's Handbook. Brown Paper Tickets provides Hughes' services free of charge to any roller derby team, league or association, through its Doer Program.

Ticket buyers will also have the opportunity to donate to a central team travel fund, and Blood & Thunder will match donations (up to $10,000), and will then distribute the money towards the teams who need financial support to travel to Dallas.
