True Endeavors And Brown Paper Tickets Present September Artists For Change
A Month Of Benefits For Imagine A Child's Capacity

Madison, WI
September 2009

True Endeavors and Brown Paper Tickets are proud to combine both companies charitable efforts into a month long series of shows benefiting Imagine A Child's Capacity, a Madison, Wisconsin based non-profit that assists children with special needs in getting the therapy, education and support necessary to foster inclusion, acceptance and independence.

True Endeavors is a concert promoter which operates under the notion that what goes on within the four walls of a nightclub or theater can and should be connected with the world we all live in. As such they regularly donate to charities in the Madison, Wisconsin area, choosing to make a difference in the area around them. Brown Paper Tickets has a similar community-minded aspect to their business, donating 5% of all ticket sales to charities in the cities where they sell tickets, and rotating organizations that receive donations quarterly.

The two companies are co-promoting a month-long series of benefits for Imagine a Child's Capacity in the hopes of raising funds and awareness, while encouraging ticket buyers to consider giving back to their own community on a more regular basis. A portion of sales from True Endeavors' shows during September will be donated to ICC, and Brown Paper Tickets has made the non-profit it's spotlight charity for the quarter. http://www.icc-wi.org

Imagine a Child's Capacity (ICC) is a nonprofit organization that imagines the capacity of a child with special needs when parents, educators, peers and the community have a wide and diverse range of tools to support that child reaching his or her fullest potential. The tools we offer include individualized therapy, education and community partnerships that foster inclusion, acceptance and independence. We work in over 15 school districts, where we work together with the staff, students and families to provide education and training to make for a successful environment for all. ICC also has a special Birth-to-Three Program, which is Wisconsin's early intervention program for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities and their families. Birth-To-Three serve over 500 families in the Madison School District every year, providing speech, occupational, physical therapies, case management, nutrition and behavior services to children under the age of three.

About True Endeavors:
http://www.trueendeavors.com

True Endeavors is an independent music promotion company based out of Madison WI. Independent promotion companies are important because they keep huge corporations from dominating the local music scene. As an independent company, we are often willing to take risks on talented artists- even if it means a financial loss. Our bottom line isnt just based on profit, nor are we simply about exploiting the musical flavor of the month. We live in a city fortunate enough to experience live music tours that primarily route through major markets. When you support these concerts it puts money back in to local businesses and in to the hands of hardworking artists. Additionally, True Endeavors does several benefits per year for various non-profits, and are looking forward to continuously expanding our outreach efforts.
