De Soto, KS, United Methodist Church Farm Hands Gospel Concert
The De Soto, Kansas, United Methodist Church is bringing the award winning Nashville bluegrass gospel group, Farm Hands Quartet, to our church, Friday, May 8, 2015, as a community outreach; ministry in music; and church fund raising event.  At the 2015 Bluegrass Music Awards, the Farm Hands were named the bluegrass music's Gospel Band of the Year as well as one of indutry/s highest honors - Entertainer of the Year.  Band member, Tim Graves, received an award as dobro player of the year. Farm Hands features 4 award winning singers and musicians; two who are long time veterans of the Grand Ole Opry.

Opening for Farm Hands, Larry Inman and Danney Williams, hometown and regional favorites, will perform their own style of inspirational gospel hymns on the guitar and bass, in addition, we're very happy to announce, Lana McPherson, will play favorite gospel hymns on the piano from 5:30ish-6:30ish.

A served buffet dinner will be provided in advance of the gospel performance and included in the concert price.

Please bring a non-perishable food item for the De Soto food pantry.

A free will offering will be taken and the proceeds will be given to Farm Hands Gospel group.
