FRIENDS OF THE SAN FRANCISCO CHAMPIONS 5K RUN
In celebration of their 3rd Year Championship Join Fans and Friends of SF GIANTS, Saturday November 30th for the first ever Friends of The San Francisco Championship All-Fan 5K.
This 5K race is a can't miss experience that will feature team fans dressed as mascots, favorite players and baseball legends. Whether this is your first race or you're a seasoned runner, The Friends 5K is an event for the whole family.
Finish Party: After the race, come join us for the celebration featuring a live Rock Bands and crafted beer!

Packet Pickup: 7:30 9:30 AM
Race start Time: 10:00am -12:00pm (waves going every 25 minutes)

Can anyone run or walk the Championship 5K?
Yes, the event is open to any one, any age
Can I run or walk with a baby jogger?
Baby joggers are allowed but we ask that you start your race in Wave 2 at approximately 10:30am. This is the designated Baby Lane race.
Can I run with my dog?
No, please do not run with your dog on the course and please leave your pets at home. Note, please respect our request for no pets on the grounds.
Can I reserve a shirt in a certain size?
When you check the box next to a t-shirt size on your registration form, you are not reserving a shirt; you are helping us plan how many shirts we need to order in each size. If it is important that you get a shirt in your size, please come early.
Shirts will not be mailed.
Can I get a refund if I register but don't run?
No. we plan the race based on the number of registered runners, so once you have registered we cannot offer you a refund.
Can I run with headphones or ear buds?
For safety reasons, we discourage the use of headphones on the course. We will have AWESOME DJ sets during and after the race.
Are there Award for top finishers?
Yes, there are awards for top overall finishers, female and male, however everyone will receive a commemorative medal.
Awards will NOT be mailed.
What will the weather be like?
Good question! The weather in San Francisco is variable, but you knew that! The average temperature for late November in our area is mid 60's to 70 OK running weather. But the race will take place come rain or shine!
What distance is this race?
The 5K is about a little more than three miles. The course is wheel measured and accurate USATF Certified.
Will there be bag-check facililty?
There is no bag check. Please plan accordingly.
Where is the water stop?
One stop at approximately each 1 Mile will be located on the course.

What are the parking accommodations? First, we urge you to consider car-pooling (with friends you know or new friends you make) or using Bart or Muni. There will be parking in the vicinity of the race and within short walking distance. Click here for parking information.
Can I take a shower after the race?
Yes, but it will have to be at home as there are no facilities available at the race!
Will there be an after-race celebration? Oh, yeah! Registered runners will enjoy a variety of delicious food and drink items including, of course, hand crafted beer, a barbeque with Hamburgers and Hot Dogs!
Where are the best locations for spectators?
The entire course is not particularly spectator-friendly. If you plan to watch the race, you will most likely be stuck in runner traffic and not get back to see the finish.
