JUST ADDED: Bernadette Morris: Building on the success of her hotly received debut album All the Ways you Wander, County Tyrone born, Irish musician, Bernadette Morris continues to wow audiences throughout Ireland with her fresh take on traditional Irish folk songs and enthrals audiences with her modern versions of lilting Gaelic laments.
How do you describe a great night of songs and stories, warmth, camaraderie, sing-alongs, and stories? Well, you might simply say Robbie O'Connell. This will be Robbie's third appearance in the series, and the concert sells out quickly. So get in on this now.
The Burren Backroom series is now well established as one of the great trad series in the world, and looks to create intimate, informal presentations held in the atmospheric space created by well-known traditional musicians Tommy and Louise McCarthy in Davis Square, Somerville, Masachusetts.
Hosted by Brian O'Donovan of A Celtic Sojourn on WGBH radio, these gatherings will feature core performers from many aspects of traditional music as well as special guests, and conversations around the music. As is the custom of the Burren, it is anticipated informal and dynamic post concert sessions will be a feature.
