The Souletics Experience Multi-Media Immersion
Rafa Selase has revealed several personas during his lifetime. Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, Engineer and Social Activist. Since breaking the grips of Corporate America he now adds spoken word artist to this list. We've seen only the tip of the iceberg. For what he has already achieved in his life, it is going to be fun watching where he goes from here. His show is like nothing that you've heard or seen!
The fun begins now. In the summer of 2014 Rafa Selase dropped his first literary poetic piece "The Divine Download." Now Rafa Selase debuts one of the most innovative spoken word performances, "The Education Innovation Liberation Movement." Rafa watched his father play congos in his band as a child.
Selase grew up immersed in music and now combines a mix of genres African funk, jazz, latin, blues and R&B/soul to give you quite an experience. He moves from love, to activism, to hope for the future, respect for those that came before him, commitment to our community and optimism for the under served people. Enhancing the experience is multi media, powerful melodies, chants, sounds accented by compelling interludes that fully integrates this artist musical influences.
Education Innovation Liberation Movement is a reality check for the people, a test of our moral compass and a compelling look at our society. In these days of simple one line, pop jingle hits and teeny bopper wonder hits this is refreshing, powerful and stimulating work of art. You must listen to the album in its entirety to grasp this work.
Selase hit the scene performing on open mics which led to feature sets and eventually rocketing on the scene with The Innovation Liberation Movement.
