Dramatic & Latin-flavored Moves for Drum Solos...
Start off with some wild shimmies to loosen it up.
Then move into hot drum solo combos with Latin-flavored moves that you can add to any of the percussive parts of your dance. I've been working on some fun and sassy Arabic/Latin fusion drum routines that I know you will love.

Part 1- Musicality & Transiltions..
Honoring requests to continue what was learned in the Dancing to Live Music Workshops, we will analyse and interpret different aspects in a few different songs, then learn how to build on a move or combination of moves to create seamless transitions.This is useful in improv as well as choreographed dance.
Part 2- Fluidity with Contrast..
How do we create a beautifully flowing and fluid dance without sacrificing precision, texture and contrast in our expression..
We'll explore the use of tension, when to use more or less of it, switching from hard to soft moves, flowing or staccato, and at the right times in the music. We'll practice all this in a mini- choreography and then analyse what we have learned.

(Slow Movement Sanctuary)-
this class will be in the smaller studio at LAC and will be limited to 12 participants...no mirrors will be used for this class.
Please bring a yoga mat. It will be first come first serve for the registrations.

$30- 2:30-4:35pm ,,Sword Dancing with Style
Well start out with centering balancing poses that can be used with or without a sword, then add beautiful hands, arm positions and torso moves, traveling combos, spins and modified floor work including the mermaid pose, backbends and more.
I'll be throwing in some interesting ways to use zills with your sword...zills are optional/
***Please bring a head wrap, head band or head scarf and a yoga mat and knee pads if you feel you will need them.
