David Luning -
Northern California based singer/songwriter David Luning is of a new generation of indie musicians whose genre blurs the lines of Americana, Alternative Country, Folk, Rock, and Blues. Audiences laugh at his charming stories, tear up with his heartbreaking country and Americana ballads, and then dance, whoop, and holler with his rock and blues. With insights well beyond his years, David's poignant songwriting and warm, rich timbre voice captivate audiences and draw them into a musical world that is familiar yet completely fresh and new.
While studying film scoring at Berklee College of Music, David was introduced to the music of John Prine, Ryan Adams, Old Crow Medicine Show, Todd Snider, and The Band. "Something just clicked. It was like a slow bolt of lightning that struck my soul. It was honest. The kind of music that spoke of real life, heartaches and loss, but also of heartwarming humor and foot stomping sing-alongs. It was simple and it was real. Like a family that I wanted to be a part of. Call it Americana, folk, roots, or alt-country it resonated with me. I had found my genre, my voice." That's when David decided to relocate back to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue a career as an Americana, Alt-country artist.
In 2013, David auditioned for American Idol to receive worldwide exposure for his original music, and to be an advocate for Americana music. Out of 75,000 people who auditioned, he made it to the top 100, performing his original song "In Hell I Am", which appeared on American Idol's January 16th, 2014 episode, viewed by 18 million across the world. Jennifer Lopez commented, "I love it. He has a really, really beautiful tone." Keith Urban praised, saying, "you have stanch originality, no one's doing what you doyou're a good singer-songwriter, story-telling guy."
David writes, records, and performs all of his original songs. "He can entertain and delight large crowds, using only himself, his guitar, and his harmonica". For events calling for a band, David most often plays with three amazing musicians: Dave Sampson, Ben Dubin, and Linden Reed. David also co-writes, records, and performs music with a vocal virtuoso, Brodie Jenkins, in the folk duo called Ghost and Gale. Ghost and Gale is comprised of haunting cinematic folk harmonies that showcase David's vocal range, harmonies, and his skills as a guitarist and talented pianist.

The Sam Chase -
The Sam Chase has a voice like a Nun on the lam with a mouthful cigarettes and curse words in a lonely bar, drunkenly dancing next to a broken jukebox. His songs are scribbled, not written, on lipstick and sweat stained motel bedsheets because he likes the way the ink bleeds. His guitar runs on diesel and leaks like the morning after too much Whiskey. His is a show you'll probably want to tattoo on your body so everyone will know that you knew him before he was cool.
Little is known about the night he was conceived because, frankly it is nobodies damn business. However, there are at least two people who had the foresight to procreate at just the right moment, when all of those dimly lit specs of light in the sky held a position just long enough to time stamp a genetic code and shoot it down from the cold, empty heavens to create another poor soul, destined to live and die out here on this cold rock, twirling violently in the vast emptiness of space.
Then he was born. He should have been born at the top of a mountain during a lightning storm. Where he actually was born was incredibly un-exciting so let's all pretend that he was born on the top of a mountain during a lightning storm. It is good to start your life story with an epic moment, even if it is entirely fabricated.
In 2012, came the release of his long awaited first studio album, THE SAM CHASE WILL LEAD US TO VICTORY. It took the group all across these United States and back to their home in the Bay Area. The cry came for more, so the band dove head first into writing and preparing a new album. In late May of 2013 THE SAM CHASE WILL NEVER DIE was released. No one knows how long the aftershocks from this album will last, but for now there is no end in sight.
