More about Kimberly: Kim has 29 years experience with the past 15 years focused on Healthcare Design. An alum of the University of Oregon, Kim's career with design firms in Paris and New York provided broad experience with international and large-scale institutional projects. She returned home to Portland in 1992 and was a shareholder at YGH for several years before joining GBJ Architecture, a 100% Healthcare Design firm, in 2001. She has been involved in most of GBJ's award-winning projects in key leadership roles and is the firm's Director of Design.
Kim brings a holistic approach to healthcare design, firmly rooted in understanding of building materials and systems, and the unique requirements of healthcare environments. She believes that design solutions can positively affect health outcomes and performance through successful collaboration be tween design, healthcare and facilities teams.
As Design Director, Kim is involved in most of the firm's larger projects, supporting the firm's talented group of healthcare designers to ensure that project teams leverage the strengths of the entire firm.
