Arun Vir - (Director and Producer)

Arun Vir grew up across the pond where she began her independent filmmaking career 20 years ago coordinating docs and news magazine shows for Channel Four in London, England. Going against her strict Indian upbringing she moved to New York City. By the mid 90s, she had established herself as the Media Training Director for Film/Video Arts (formerly Young Filmmakers Foundation). She went on to produce The Bulls' Night Out, a low-budget cop thriller for under 35k. Bulls' screened at US festivals and found distribution through the Angelika Feature Film Market. Arun was invited to serve as committee member for Fifth Night, famously known as the Nuyorican Poet's Café, founded by poet Miguel Algarin in 1973. Fifth Night inspired Arun to find her own voice as a writer. Her screenplay The Last Weekend earned her the "Directing Workshop for Women" award sponsored by AFI. Her short film "The Last Weekend" took Best Short at the 1999 Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles. In addition to directing shorts, she has penned a number of feature scripts including Suburban Turban. Arun currently freelances, producing a variety of documentary, narrative, multi-media and viral projects from her office in Glendale, CA. In addition to her production work, Arun's teaching credentials include Adjunct Professor at Occidental College in Los Angeles, where she taught producing 2011-13.


EMMANUEL  ITIER (Director and Producer)

An experienced feature film Producer, Emmanuel Itier directed the thriller 'Tell me no Lies' (2000) and the horror film 'Scarecrow' (2002). He completed in 2012 the Peace documentary 'The Invocation' narrated by Sharon Stone and with Desmond Tutu, HH The Dalai Lama, Deepak Chopra and many others worldwide peace activists.  Emmanuel also produced the films 'Wildflower' (1999) and 'Scarecrow Slayers' (2003) among other pictures. He also acted as a co-producer and financing consultant: 'Johnny Mnemonic', 'Another 9 1/2 weeks', 'Shattered Image' (1998), 'The Dentist' (1996), and 'Progeny'(1999). In 2013 Mr. Itier executive-produced a Drama filmed in Hong Kong: 'Red Passage' which entered the Festival circuit in 2014. He also directed and co-wrote an action picture for The Asylum: ATTILA with ultimate fighter star Cheik Kongo.  Emmanuel Itier has also been a successful Music and Film journalist for both Rock Magazines, FrenchTV networks and the internet for the last twenty five years. Finally Itier has been a buyer for various French Film distribution companies for the last twenty years. He was on the board of directors of the Santa Barbara Film Festival for a decade and he writes poetry. He is also very involved with charities and the political world. He grew up in France and moved in the USA twenty five years ago. He resides in Santa Barbara, California with his wife and three sons. Finally Emmanuel Itier released in late 2013 another inspiring documentary Celebrating Women around the planet: 'FEMME-Women healing the World.' This Documentary earned several Awards around the World. Mr. Itier is now directing five documentaries in order to keep making Peace, One movie at a time. This new series is called The Universalis Collection: Documentaries for a Conscious Humanity.


CINDY BAER (Director, Producer and Actor)

Cindy Baer is a director, producer, actress and co-founder of Patron of the Arts (POTA), a California nonprofit company whose mission is to help emerging filmmakers & artists create new works and connect with audiences. Cindy's feature debut PURGATORY HOUSE screened at over 25 film festivals, won 12 film festival awards (including top honors of "Best Director", "Best Film" and "Audience Choice" Awards), 2 PRISM Award Nominations, and was included on 5 critics' lists for "Best Films of the Year" before securing distribution with Image Entertainment. Cindy also produced, directed and starred in the critically acclaimed short comedy MORBID CURIOSITY, which screened in over 25 film festivals. As an actress, recent credits include the roles of "Lizzie Borden" in the indie feature LIZZIE and Rainn Wilson's girlfriend "Jillian" in FEW OPTIONS, ALL BAD. Cindy is currently on the festival circuit with her second feature ODD BRODSKY, which she directed and produced, and co-wrote with her cinematographer husband Matthew Irving. Cindy has appeared on filmmaking panels across the country speaking as an expert on low-budget filmmaking at film festivals such as Provincetown, Mill Valley, Dances With Films, Hollyshorts, Vimeo and LaFemme, and organizations including the Scriptwriter's Network, Screenwriting Expo and the Screen Actor's Guild. In addition, Cindy has been a judge for the Cine Eagle Awards, Prism Awards, Valley Film Festival and the 48 hour film festival. She is a member of Film Independent and the Alliance of Women Directors.

MATTHEW IRVING (Cinematographer)

Cinematographer Matthew Irving has lensed an eclectic slate of over two dozen feature films, including the hit theatrical releases "Waitress" (starring Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion) and "Waiting" (starring Ryan Reynolds, Justin Long and Anna Faris), both of which cracked the box office Top Ten. Irving also shot the indie rave film "Groove" (starring Hamish Linklater), which was a Spirit Award nominee for Best Picture; and the thriller "A Bit of Bad Luck" (starring Cary Elwes), which was awarded
"Best Cinematography" by the Los Angeles Movie Awards. Irving's television credits include the pilot for USA Network's "Playing House". Four of Irving's features have premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and he has earned accolades for what Filmmaker Magazine calls his trademark style of "precise framing and camera movement" and his "acute attention to color, lighting, and texture."

Writer, Director, Actor and the founder of the Silent River Film Festival. Known for her films "Goodbye My Friend (feature),""Girl With An Accent" (short, author of four books including her latest bestseller "Bare Soul" and other anthologies of poems. Her awards include Silver Award, Bihar Rajbhasha Award and Rajiv Gandhi Global Excellence Award for her contributions to film and literature at international level.
