San Juan Healthcare Foundation Benefit Concert
The San Juan Healthcare Foundation is a community not-for profit foundation that has been in existence since 1983. We serve the healthcare needs of the region in the form of scholarship, equipment, and health education programs. Every year we have a fund raiser "Gala" which happens on the fist Saturday in November. This year's event is on NOvember 1st. The entertainment will be "The Long Run," Colorado's Tribute Band to the Eagles.
Projects the Foundation has supported over the last year include the following:
"The Care Channel" for inpatients at Montrose Memorial Hospital.
Speech Therapy equipment for the children in the Speech Program at Mountain View
Therapy.
Donation to Hospice for their Capital Champaign to build a facility in Montrose.
Education programs for School District 6th Graders: "New Me Program"
AED Trainer for Community OPtions
Five LIfeline Units for Altrusa
Healthcare scholarships for local individuals
Equipment pledge for the Montrose Campus of Colorado Mesa University
Financial support through the Caring Friends Fund at the San Juan Cancer Center to
support non-clinical needs for cancer patients.
