In this centenary year of the first World War, PhilHarmonia returns with musical reflections of struggle, loss, and hope during wartime as experienced throughout the 20th century to present day.

Along with compositions by Hubert Parry, Daniel Elder, and Zachary Wadsworth, PhilHarmonia will present a recent work by Philadelphia-based composer Melissa Dunphy, "What Do You Think I Fought For at Omaha Beach?", inspired by a public testimony given by a World War II veteran in support of the Marriage Equality Bill.

Also included in the program are works by Thomas Tallis and Orlando Gibbons that serve as meditations for All Souls Week.

Complimentary tickets for all veterans at the door.

Free parking available.

The program will run approximately one hour. A wine reception will follow.
