CURSE MACKEY - DJ/MUSICIAN/CURATOR/MARKETING + EVENT INNOVATOR
As a DJ/performer, content marketing consultant and speaker, art curator with museum exhibition credits and book publishings; video/webcast/event producer; Curse Mackey fuses the creative and entrepreneurial worlds with a street-cred savvy that has elevated him to an influential position with top-tier instrument manufacturers and music lifestyle brands while consistently applying a creative content and social media philosophy to successful business and fundraising practices.
Mackey has been integrating video marketing and webcast technology since 2007. He is the producer of the annual "NAMMJAM" party which takes place during the music instrument industry's biggest tradeshow, and for five years as Director of Marketing for Dean Guitars and DDRUM, produced "Dean Guitars: Live from NAMM", the first ever live internet broadcast to take place from the NAMM Show (the 2013 broadcast generated over 100,000 viewers from 123 countries and six-figure sales in online sales for dean guitars in one weekend).
Curse hosted the "2012 SXSW TV" show for NewTek TriCaster, the leader in internet webcast technology. Curse is also a world-traveling DJ, musician (Pigface, Evil Mothers, Thrill Kill Kult, Grim Faeries), has had two books published and has raised over $300,000 for music based educational programs such as Little Kids Rock through his art exhibits and live events.
Current projects include: DJing for Cold Waves Festival in Chicago, launching a new creative services and marketing company called DELVE TEXAS working with a diverse lineup of organizations including the Daytime Emmys, The Recording Academy (Grammys), Monster Energy, Corona, Affliction Clothing, IBM and the Green Beret Foundation, his DRAW Exhibit is currently being updated for exhibition in Spain and Italy for late 2015.
Curse is a member of the Recording Academy (Grammys), National Academy of Television Art & Sciences (Emmys) and Austin Film Society amongst other organizations and splits his time between Austin and Tampa when not traveling. His preferred method of transportation is his 72 Mustang Mach 1.
