9:00-10:00 am: Registration, light breakfast, visit literature table, networking opportunities.

10:00-11:15 am: From Article to Book: Using a Journal Article to Pitch and win a Book Contract - Award Winning Journalist & Book Author Herb Boyd discusses how he pitched book proposals based on journal articles.

11:15-11:30 am: Break time

11:30 am -12:45 pm: Adventures in Publishing - Tim Sheard (Hard Ball Press) & Dave Bass (freelance book designer) discuss negotiating a book contract, assigning copyright & ISBN, low cost, professional-grade book formatting, print & fulfillment options for the self-published author, targeting your market, and much more.

12:45-2:00 pm: Luncheon and panel discussion, "The Future of the Book," literary agents Lindsay Edgecombe & Gary Heidt, and Strand Bookseller Gregg Farrell discuss the future of the printed word and new content platforms.
   
2:00-3:15 pm: Social Media for Writers: Mining Facebook LinkedIn, Twitter, and more, with Elana Levin & Charles Lenchner.

3:15-3:30 pm: Break time

3:30-5:00 pm: Promote Yourself: Video Trailers, Head Shots & Book Covers, and Back-of-the-Book Hooks - Malcolm Douglas Brown, Deneka Pattiston & Marion Hammon discuss successful, affordable promotion  materials.

5:00-6:00 pm: Cocktail Party & Open Mic
