UpShift Cycling Presents: Bicycles 101: A Two-Part Workshop Series about Bicycle Maintenance & Bicycle Safety
Part I: Bicycle Maintenance 101 on Wednesday October 15th, 6:00 - 8:30 pm
This course will cover the fundamentals of maintaining your bicycle, including:
~ Bicycle anatomy
~ How to change a flat
~ How to patch a tube
~ Proper lubrication
~ Changing brake pads
~ Best fit for you & your bike
~ Proper tire pressure
~ and more!
Please bring your rideable bicycle &, if you have them, tubes that you would like to patch!
~~> We will NOT be fixing broken-down bicycles BUT we will leave time at the end of the workshop to help you get a better idea of what you could do yourself or where you could take your bike to get it road-ready if it has repairs beyond this particular workshop's capacity.
We are excited to get you cruising around (more) on two wheels, the way nature intended!!

~ Rules of the road
~ Navigating the Grid
~ Where to ride (and where NOT to ride)

~ Cycling etiquette
~ Suggested safety gear
~ Exploring the American River Parkway bike trail
