German Currents San Diego Festival of German Film 2014
German Currents San Diego celebrates its 4th Annual Festival of German Film on October 11 & 12, 2014. Presented by the German American San Diego Foundation, the Festival will showcase four film screenings.
On Saturday evening, October 11, the Festival will kick off at 5:30pm with a Pre-Film VIP Reception on the El Mirador rooftop terrace of the San Diego Natural History Museum (theNat) in Balboa Park. At 6:30pm, the award-winning opening film "The Dark Valley" ("Das Finstere Tal") will be screened at theNAT's state-of-the-art Charmain and Maurice Kaplan movie theater. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers in attendance and a Gala Reception at theNAT's Sefton Atrium. The evening will be moderated by the popular German-American actress Elisabeth Röhm, best-known for her recurring role in the TV series Law and Order.
On Sunday, October 12, the Festival will continue with three additional award-winning German-language films being shown at the Joan & Irwin Jacobs Theater at the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA) in Balboa Park.
