Shana Tucker: Chapel Hill House Concert & New Music Listening Session
On Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 7:00 pm, ChamberSoul singer-songwriter/cellist SHANA TUCKER returns to her beloved North Carolina for an intimate, one-night-only listening session/house concert presented at the private residence of Ian Bowater & Sherrie Sims in Chapel Hill. This concert will feature Tucker's long-time accompaniment of "musician's musicians": Eric Hirsh, piano/keys; Stephen Coffman, drums; and Emily Musolino, guitar/bass. Ticket price includes a pre-concert reception with food/beverages provided by the hosts.
Tucker's newest recording project, scheduled for an early 2016 launch, will be a collection of new and previously unreleased originals penned by herself and her songwriting colleagues and collaborators. This listening session offers the opportunity for Tucker to "try out" her new songs and arrangements in a semi-public setting to get a feel for the songs while gleaning feedback from the audience.
ABOUT SHANA TUCKER:
Shana Tucker is an alluring, unique singer-songwriter and cellist who made her solo debut on the strength of her simultaneous singing/cello-playing in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Word quickly spread about her debut full-length album "SHiNE" following an interview on NPR in 2011, which led to recruitment by Cirque du Soleil to play cello and sing for their Las Vegas-based show, KA at the MGM Grand.
Tucker has opened for Norah Jones, The Blind Boys of Alabama, The Indigo Girls, and Lisa Fischer (among others), and has founded her own record label, ChamberSoul Media. Her cello playing and singing has been featured on various projects by fellow NC artists The Foreign Exchange, The Beast, Jeanne Jolly, Emily Musolino, Anna Rose Beck, and Shirlette & The Dynamite Brothers.

House opens at 6 PM; concert is at 7 PM. Very limited seating. Purchase tickets in advance to ensure your seat. A limited number of tickets will be sold at the door, subject to availability. On-street parking.
A portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to United Way of the Greater Triangle (www.unitedwaytriangle.org).
