August Osage County
Winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play, this play tells the story of the tumultuous Weston family as they near the most epic of family meltdowns.  Described by the New York Times as "Fiercely funny and bitingly sad" this play truly runs the gamut of emotions.  Both funny and, at times, uncomfortably in your face, the audience won't be able to help getting caught up in this family's drama. This show is intended for an adult audience.

Julianna Skluzacek is the founding and current artistic director of The Merlin Players, a semi-professional theater company housed at the Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault. Julianna has directed 85+ plays and musicals including The Secret Garden, Company, Of Mice and Men, The Christmas Schooner, Driving Miss Daisy, A Trip to Bountiful, The Price, Death of a Salesman, Cabaret, Tuesdays with Morrie, and The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). She also directed Chicago for the Northfield Arts Guild. As a freelance director, Julianna has worked throughout southern Minnesota and the south metro. In 2007, she was name Best Director for the TMP production of Eleemosynary at the Minnesota Association of Community Theatre one-act play festival, MACT-Fest. The production was also selected as best of show. Julianna has served twelve years on the MACT board of directors and four years as its president. Julianna shares her life with husband Roger, daughter Melissa (who lives in NYC) and Murray the cat.
