Aligning Minds is proud to present the "WAVEFORMS 2.0" series, a month long residency at the Asheville Music Hall every Saturday in October along with a final closing event in November for a total of 6 shows. Aligning Minds will be Co-headlining each night along with some of their favorite artists, co-collaborators, and friends. The WAVEFORMS series is focused on bringing top notch production, innovative aesthetics and forward thinking electronic music to the Asheville music scene on a weekly basis.

North Carolina-born artist Travis Stewart known as Machinedrum has produced and composed over a dozen albums under various aliases since his first independent release in 1999. Covering an astonishing variety of styles with ease, through solo Machinedrum work and with collaborative projects Sepalcure, JETS, Dream Continuum, or other mutations, Stewart has established himself as electronic music's true Renaissance man.
His debut as Machinedrum Now You Know, was released in 2001 on pioneering Miami-basedMerck Records and gained worldwide attention and praise from musicians, fans and critics. Having a strong background in both acoustic and electronic instrumentation, he was quickly able to navigate those various elements on his early releases from field recording and vintage synth ladenUrban Biology to his seminal production and mixing of This Charming Mixtape with MC Theophilus London and his critically acclaimed 2009 album Want To 1 2?
2010's Many Faces EP ushered the next phase of Machinedrum's career and a fruitful relationship with Glasgow-based label LuckyMe. Sepalcure, a duo launched with Praveen Sharma shortly after, became one of the most intriguing names in the bass music scene and a series of releases on bubbling imprint Hotflush has given the duo NYC ambassadorship of this UK-based genre.
His biggest and boldest release came last year in the form of the full-length LP Vapor City on famed label Ninja Tune, a conceptual universe which included an interactive website, digital citizenship program for fans, and an art exhibit in NYC that launched with the album. With subsequent EPs, exclusive remixes from a series of heavyweights, and a critically-acclaimed world tour, Vapor City carried on his rich exploration of multimedia arts and music. Delivering his signature on every thing he touches, through each solo album and EP, collaborations, or production work for the likes of Azealia Banks, Jamie Liddell, Jesse Boykins III and others, Machinedrum is now widely recognized as a producer's producer, a pioneer of many styles, and a master of his craft.

Aligning Minds is the unique and captivating collaboration of two producers using sound to achieve a mutual vision. Ethereal and dubby, uplifting and haunting, their music winds its way through the imaginative souls of its listeners, offering a deep exploration of subsonic mood and emotional atmosphere. Focused on unifying electronic music through diverse influence, their sound fuses elements of many genres like downtempo, dubstep, breakbeat and idm - but without the need for formulaic restrictions.

Panther God is an electronic music producer and label founder, hailing from Miami, Fl. He spent his formative years watching MTV, in a small suburban town where he'd stay up late to calibrate his FM radio antenna, hoping to catch snippets of the Miami Bass stations transmitting Luke and Gucci Crew. Between the fuzz of radio static, heavy beats, and braggadocio rhymes, PG found his inspiration- his musical space to explore. He has since become an emerging presence in the international electronic music scene, having shared the stage with Prefuse 73, Daedelus, Glitch Mob, Bonobo and many more. His sound is chameleonic, ranging from dark and minimal to synth driven hip hop and pretty much everything in between.

Kristi has immersed herself in a lifetime of dance and performance art. From ballet, hip-hop, and tap dance to flamenco, hula, and afro-brazilian. Kristi enjoys studying the full spectrum of human expression through dance. She has studied Thai Classical Dance in Bangkok and is deeply grateful to be studying Odissi with Guru Sanchita Bhattacharya from India. She is also recently begun learning Bharatnatyam from Thessaly Chance in Asheville, NC. Kristi has been performing her own unique flavor of fusion bellydance for the past 10 years and has performed with artists such as: Desert Dwellers, Kayla Scintilla, Govinda, Random Rab, Aligning Minds, Raquy and the Cavemen, Nataraj,and many others.
